How To Throw an Epic Bachelorette Party
For a bachelorette party to be a success, it doesn’t necessarily need to involve men in thongs or doing something super crazy. We’re not saying that you throw a sophisticated tea party either but settle for something in between. For anyone who is in charge of throwing a bachelorette party, here are some tips and ideas to make it epic:
Take Charge of Things
Even though you are planning the whole thing, it is important to ask the bride what she wants and what she doesn’t want. You may be surprised to find out that your quiet friend actually wants to wear a tiara and be treated like a princess at her party. While you may also want to ask other people for ideas, be careful with that as once you step that line, things can get a bit out of hand. It’s OK if you want to make decisions on your own, but if there are some crazy things involved like skydiving, it’s important to get an approval for that from the guests.
Everyone loves a gift, so why not welcome the bridal party in a fun and creative way? Go for maybe a small basket with a few goodies that everyone can use. Handing out wedding bags to everyone when they arrive is also a great way to break the ice.
It would be good if you reach out to the group and give them an estimate on the budget. Try to keep a small budget so that everyone can easily pitch in. Ask the wedding party to pay the organizer up front for all the bridesmaid activities so there is no misunderstandings later on. It may get a bit weird for the organizer to send emails or messages to people saying “hey, you haven’t paid me yet.” If there is any money left after all the events, return it equally to everyone.
Everything at a bachelorette party is worth photographing so make sure that décor provides a lot of Instagram opportunities for the guests. You can also make the bride dress up in some cheesy props or have the wedding party wear a matching costume.
